Whistleblower claims Biden was complicit in foreign ‘criminal scheme,’ GOP subpoenas FBI documents

The GOP Oversight Committee announced on Wednesday that an FBI record has allegedly linked then-Vice President Joe Biden to a scheme involving a money exchange with a foreign national.

The committee said that House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., and Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, are “demanding the FBI produce an unclassified record alleging a criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Joe Biden and a foreign national.”

The GOP Oversight Committee posted a copy of a letter from Comer and Grassley on Twitter.

“According to a whistleblower, this record details an alleged arrangement involving an exchange of money for policy decisions,” the tweet said.

The letter was addressed to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland, who allegedly had an unclassified FD-1023 form about the money exchange.

Comer and Grassley added that the document "includes a precise description of how the alleged criminal scheme was employed as well as its purpose."

The letter said that Wray and Garland had “valuable, verifiable information” that the FBI and DOJ “failed to disclose to the American people.”

Comer has issued a subpoena to obtain the document for their investigation. “Senator Grassley and I will seek the truth to ensure accountability for the American people,” Comer said in the Oversight Committee statement.
