Trump trounces opponents in the polls, maintains strong lead in race to The White House

Former President Donald Trump currently leads the polls for the 2024 presidential election with the highest percentage of Republican primary voters indicating they would vote for him to become the 47th president of the United States.

According to a Fox News national survey released on Sunday, Trump tops the list of possible contenders for the 2024 Republican nomination by a long shot with 43 percent. Ron DeSantis polled at 28 percent, Nikki Haley and Mike Pence both tied at 7 percent, and Greg Abbott and Liz Cheney followed at 2 percent.

This survey was conducted among 1,006 registered voters from Feb. 19-23.. The Fox survey concluded that even at these early stages, only a mere 3 percent of Republican voters were unsure of who they would vote for.

These numbers look promising for Trump as we inch closer to the 2024 election.

Notably, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is the only candidate who even comes close to Trump, handily beating out all other candidates.

According to The Hill, DeSantis hinted on Monday that he will not be making a public decision on whether he will run in 2024 until after his state’s legislative session wraps up in May.

As of now, only two Republican candidates have made their decision to enter the race for the 2024 election, including Trump and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley.

However, with campaign season approaching, the list is bound to expand.
