Sarah Huckabee Sanders is Running for Governor of Arkansas!

As President Trump said, the last four years was “just the beginning” of the MAGA movement. The “America First” policies he implemented throughout his first term will live on whether he runs again or if his supporters decide to take the torch.

Because of the immense energy and momentum Trump’s movement gained, we can certainly expect new leadership to arise that will run on continuing the policies that were so popular with the American people.

One individual who has teased for months that she may run for political office, like her father, is Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Trump’s former press secretary, who was known for her “savage” quips and comebacks when interacting with the media during tense press conferences, has officially become the first to announce a run for office post-Trump.

Sanders posted a heartfelt video on Monday announcing she is stepping up to the plate to represent the people of Arkansas by running for Governor of Arkansas in the 2022 primary elections.

Sanders explained her motivation to run, stating that “America is great because we are free, but today, our freedom and the rule of law are under attack.”

“Everything we love about America is at stake, and with the radical left now in control of Washington, your governor is your last line of defense. In fact, your governor must be on the front line. So today, I announce my candidacy for governor of Arkansas, and ask for your prayers and support,” Sanders revealed.

Sanders is the daughter of former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, who is also a staunch Trump ally.

Her campaign video made it clear she intends to court the pro-Trump voter base by carrying out his administration’s policies on a micro-level in her home state.

Sanders vowed to stand with law enforcement, promote law and order, prohibit sanctuary cities, prevent the Green New Deal, reduce the cost and size of government, and work toward school choice – amongst many other Trump-inspired policies.

Her gubernatorial run appears to signal the beginning of what is to come for the future of the Republican Party. As midterms approach, we will see whether more pro-America officials announce candidacy or if conservatives split off to a new party altogether.
